Over a decade of impact: Arthur Sletteberg steps down as Managing Director
After 11 years at the helm, Arthur Sletteberg has decided to step down as Managing Director of Abler Nordic
Under Arthur’s leadership, Abler Nordic has grown its reach to close to 14 million low-income customers, launched three funds and tripled total committed capital to 470 million USD, invested in close to 40 financial institutions, and established a strong local presence in our key markets, with offices in India, Kenya, and Indonesia.
These achievements have deepened our impact in inclusive finance, expanded our ability to support partners on the ground and positioned us to deliver solid results for our investors and partners. The Board is deeply grateful for Arthur’s vision and dedication, which have laid a firm foundation for the future.

The formal search for a new Managing Director is now underway. Arthur will remain in his role until a successor is confirmed, ensuring continuity across strategic priorities. While he will not be seeking another full-time role, Arthur will consider possible advisory and board positions.
Arthur’s departure marks a new chapter, but Abler Nordic’s focus remains unchanged — building sustainable financial institutions that help low-income households create better futures.
